Everything you need to know about using Facebook Pages in ZoomSphere Scheduler

Written by Karolina

ZoomSphere Scheduler supports Facebook Pages, giving you full control over your Facebook content in one place. This article covers all the features available for Facebook Pages.

🌁 Supported Post Types

You can create the following post types for Facebook Pages in ZoomSphere Scheduler:

πŸ“² Automatic vs. Manual Publishing

ZoomSphere Scheduler offers two publishing modes for Facebook Pages: Automatic and Manual.

Automatic publishing means ZoomSphere publishes approved posts directly to Facebook at the scheduled time – no further action needed on your part. This is the default mode for all standard post types.

Manual publishing is used for Reels and Stories. The main reason is that Facebook does not allow third-party tools (including ZoomSphere) to add certain native elements via the API – such as music, GIFs, or stickers to Stories, or native Facebook music to Reels. Manual publishing lets you add these elements yourself directly in the Facebook app after the content is prepared by ZoomSphere.

How manual publishing works:

  1. Once the post reaches Approved status, the assigned user receives a push notification in the ZoomSphere Mobile App at the scheduled time.

  2. The user taps the notification and clicks Publish to Facebook now.

  3. The media (photos/videos) is automatically downloaded to the device gallery and the caption is copied to the clipboard.

  4. The user is immediately redirected to the native Facebook app.

  5. In the Facebook app, the user selects the media from the gallery, pastes the caption, can add any native elements (music, GIFs, stickers, etc.) and publishes the post.

πŸ’‘ Manual publishing is also automatically applied to any post whose content does not meet Facebook's technical requirements for auto-publishing (e.g. unsupported file format, size, or aspect ratio).

πŸ‘€ Mentions

You can mention other Facebook Pages in your post caption to boost visibility and engagement.

How to add a mention:

  1. In the post caption, type @ followed by the page name.

  2. Select the page from the dropdown that appears – the mention will turn blue and link to the page.

⚠️ Mentioning Facebook Personal Profiles or Facebook Groups is not possible due to API limitations.

🀝 Collaborations

ZoomSphere supports collaborations on Facebook Reels, letting you co-author content with partner pages. Collaboration is available for the Short Video (Reel) post type only.

How to invite a collaborator:

  1. Create a Short Video post and upload your video.

  2. Click Invite collaborators and search for the Facebook Page.

  3. Select the page and save the post.

  4. Once the post reaches Approved status, the invitation is sent to the partner page.

πŸ’‘Facebook Collaborations are only available for Reels due to the official Meta API.

πŸ’‘ Collaboration is limited to 10 collaborator tags per Reel and 10 collaboration invites per page per day.

πŸ’‘ Collaborating with Facebook Personal Profiles is not possible due to API limitations.

🎯 Audience Targeting

Organic audience targeting lets you control who sees your Facebook posts based on location and language – without running an ad.

How to set up targeting:

  1. Open the post caption field and click the Targeting button.

  2. Add the desired locations and languages.

  3. Save – a targeting icon will appear on the post in the Scheduler calendar.

⚠️ Targeting is not available for Reels, Stories, and Photo Albums due to API limitations.

πŸ“ Check-in (Location Tag)

The Check-in feature lets you tag another Facebook Page as a location in your post – useful for associating content with a venue or place that has its own Facebook Page.

How to add a check-in:

  1. In the post caption field, click the Location button.

  2. Search for and select the Facebook Page to tag as the location.

🌚 Dark Posts (Unpublished Posts)

A Dark Post is a sponsored Facebook post that is paid for but does not appear on your Page's Timeline. It is shown only to the audience you define in Meta Ads Manager.

Things to know before creating a dark post:

  • Dark posts are exclusive to Facebook Pages.

  • Select only one Facebook Page when creating a dark post.

  • Supported formats: all post types except Photo Albums, Stories, and Reels.

How to create a dark post:

  1. Select a Facebook Page and choose a post type.

  2. Add your content.

  3. Enable the Promoted-only (dark post) option when setting the schedule.

  4. Once the post reaches Approved status, the Post ID becomes available to copy.

πŸ†” Post ID for Meta Ads Manager

When a dark post reaches Approved status in ZoomSphere Scheduler, its Post ID is available to copy. You can use it in Meta Ads Manager to run a paid campaign on that post before it goes live.

How to use the Post ID:

  1. In Meta Ads Manager, create a new Ad and choose Use Existing Post.

  2. Click Enter Post ID and paste the ID copied from ZoomSphere.

  3. The post will appear in Ads Manager, ready for campaign setup.

πŸ’‘ The Post ID is available in Approved status only if Prescheduling is not disabled.

πŸ“Š Post Performance

After a post is published, you can track its performance directly in ZoomSphere Scheduler via the Post Detail view.
