ZoomSphere Scheduler supports YouTube Channels, giving you control over your YouTube content in one place. This article covers all the features available for a YouTube Channel.
π¬ Supported Post Types
You can create the following post type for a YouTube Channel in ZoomSphere Scheduler:
Short video (YouTube Short)
π² Automatic vs. Manual Publishing
ZoomSphere Scheduler offers two publishing modes for YouTube Channel: Automatic and Manual.
Automatic publishing means ZoomSphere publishes approved posts directly to YouTube at the scheduled time β no further action needed on your part. This is the default mode and is available when your video meets YouTubeβs technical requirements.
Manual publishing is also available. The user receives a push notification in the ZoomSphere Mobile App at the scheduled time and publishes the content directly from the native YouTube app.
How manual publishing works:
Once the post reaches Approved status, the assigned user receives a push notification in the ZoomSphere Mobile App at the scheduled time.
The user taps the notification and clicks Publish to Facebook now.
The media (photos/videos) is automatically downloaded to the device gallery and the caption is copied to the clipboard.
The user is immediately redirected to the native Facebook app.
In the Facebook app, the user selects the media from the gallery, pastes the caption, can add any native elements (music, GIFs, stickers, etc.) and publishes the post.
π‘ If your video does not meet the technical requirements for automatic publishing, the manual publishing mode will be applied automatically.
πΉ YouTube Short Settings
When creating a YouTube Short, after uploading your video, you can configure the following settings:
Audience: Choose for whom your content is made for (No, It's not Made for Kids / Yes, It's Made for Kids)
Visibility: Public (everyone can watch), Private (only you and chosen people), or Unlisted (anyone with the link)
Video Title: Add a title up to 100 characters long
Description: Add a description up to 5,000 characters long
π‘ Shorts with the Yes, It's Made for Kids option will be available on YouTube Kids, and comments will be disabled.
π₯ Video Cover
At this moment, it is not possible to set a video cover for YouTube Shorts due to API limitations. Therefore, it is not possible to configure it in ZoomSphere.
However, if you wish to select a video cover, choose manual publishing (via ZoomSphere mobile app) and set it directly on YouTube.
π€ Combo Short Video
With ZoomSphere, you can save time and create a βcomboβ short video, allowing you to schedule one video for multiple platforms β Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Threads, and TikTok β at once. Simply select your channels as a source and copy the content using the Copy from button.
βοΈ Video Specifications for Automatic Publishing
In order for ZoomSphere to publish your Shorts automatically at the scheduled time, your video file must meet the following requirements:
Video Format | MP4, WebM, or MOV |
Video Duration | 3 seconds to 3 minutes |
Aspect Ratio | 9:16 (recommended) |
π Post Performance
After a post is published, you can track its performance directly in ZoomSphere Scheduler via the Post Detail view. Post performance tracking is available for YouTube Shorts.
