Instagram started providing access to its Content Publishing API publicly. The API supports scheduling and publishing single photos or single videos for Instagram business accounts.
Photo Requirements for automatic publishing:
Maximum file size: 8 MB
Minimum width: 320 px
Maximum width: 1440 px
Aspect ratio: Must be within a 4:5 (portrait) to 1.91:1 (landscape) range
Height: Varies, depending on width and aspect ratio
Formats: JPG, JPEG

๐ด If you created a post and you were offered only MANUAL publishing option, it means that some of the requirements are not met.
โYou can open the Image Editor and edit the picture accordingly.

Example
In the following image, you can see the note that "the aspect ratio is invalid". It is because the uploaded photo is 2:3 (which is bigger than 4:5), and also the width of this image exceeds the maximum of 1440 px โ that is why there is only the possibility of posting it manually.
