Scheduler: Synced Posts – See Your Full Content History

Learn everything you need to know about Synced Posts – Posts you published outside of ZoomSphere

Written by Karolina

ZoomSphere Scheduler now displays posts published directly on social media platforms. With the Synced Posts feature, your calendar gives you a complete view of all published content, not just the posts that went through ZoomSphere.

What Are Synced Posts?

Synced Posts are posts published directly on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, or TikTok without going through ZoomSphere. The Scheduler automatically pulls them in and displays them in the calendar alongside posts scheduled via ZoomSphere.

These posts are marked with a SYNCED label, both in the Scheduler calendar and in the post detail view, so you can always tell them apart at a glance.

What You Can Do with a Synced Post

Opening a synced post gives you more than just a preview. The post detail panel includes several useful features:

Open the post directly on the platform

Each synced post includes an Open Post URL link that takes you directly to the live post on the social media platform. No need to search for it manually.

Post ID for promotion (Facebook & Instagram)

For Facebook and Instagram posts, the post detail also shows the Post ID. This is particularly useful when you want to boost an existing post. Simply copy the ID and use it to set up a paid promotion in Ads Manager.

Post performance stats

The post detail panel includes a Post Performance section with key metrics. You get the analytics right where you need them, without switching to a separate report.

Client discussion and internal comments

Synced posts support the same collaboration features as any other post in ZoomSphere. You can add internal team comments to share notes or feedback, and use the client discussion thread to communicate with the client. All directly from the post detail.

Why Is This Useful?

The Synced Posts feature solves one of the most common pain points in social media management — a fragmented view of published content. Here is what you gain:

Instant context when connecting a new profile

Adding a new page or profile to ZoomSphere? You no longer start with an empty calendar. The Scheduler automatically loads historical posts and displays them straight away. You can immediately see what was published, how often, and what kind of content the profile has been working with.

Continuity when switching between agencies

When a client moves from one agency to another, their content history comes with them. The new agency does not need to hunt down old posts across platforms. Everything is already in the ZoomSphere calendar from day one, ready to review and build on.

Full visibility when clients or teammates post directly

Some clients or team members publish posts directly on the platform — in a hurry, outside office hours, or simply out of habit. With Synced Posts, none of that content gets lost. It appears in the calendar automatically, keeping the full activity timeline intact.

Better content analysis and planning

With all content visible in one place — both scheduled posts and spontaneous ones. It is much easier to spot gaps in your publishing plan, evaluate posting frequency, and make informed decisions about future content.

Faster content audits and client onboarding

When onboarding a new client or conducting a content audit, you have the full post history available immediately. You don't need to export data from individual platforms. Just open the Scheduler and you are ready to go.

💡 Note: Synced Posts do not replace posts scheduled through ZoomSphere — they complement them. Your calendar always shows the full picture of a channel's activity.

How to Set It Up

Synced Posts are enabled by default. As soon as you connect a profile or page, ZoomSphere automatically starts pulling in posts published outside the Scheduler.

If you want to turn the feature off or back on, here is how:

  • In ZoomSphere Scheduler, click the Month view button (or whichever view is currently selected) at the top of the screen.

  • A dropdown menu will open with the available view options.

  • At the bottom of the menu, you will find the Show Synced Posts toggle.

  • Toggle it on or off as needed. The change takes effect immediately.

⚠️ Posts from X cannot be synced to Scheduler due to official X API restrictions.
